Although Pelangi Leisure Mall's cinematic technology isn't the best it is still considered acceptable. Most of all, it offers the cheapest deal in Johor Bahru. Movies cost RM$9.00 and parking at RM$1/entry.
The crowd is considerably less compared to the Tanjung Golden Village (Tebrau City) and Cathay Cineplex (City Square).

Cathay is the state of the art cinema in the city but experiencing that technology in the center of the city will set you back at least 40% more than other movie theaters.
Recent blockbuster movies cost about RM$11. Additionally, parking at City Square cost about RM$2.50/hour
There is also a Tamil movie theatre in the city centre of Johor Bahru, close to the Hindu temple.
Last but not least, to dispel any myths, you will not see cockroaches and mouse running under your seats nor will you find weird people at the back of the cinema recording the film for pirated DVD productions.
The cleanliness and quality of the visual and audio sound system is to a decent standard.
